An event that included a presentation of audiovisual material, illustrations, music, lyrics and songs of the period.

Words, images, music, lyrics, songs and dances related to the anti-dictatorship struggle and the Polytechnic uprising came to life on Sunday 14 November at the “Aigli” Multiplex (Veso Mare), in the event organized by the Dance Department of the Cultural Organization and its Folk Orchestra. The event, dedicated to the History of the Polytechnic uprising, included a presentation of audiovisual material, illustrations, music, lyrics and songs of the period from the Folk Orchestra of the Dance Department.

The president of the Cultural Organization, Katerina Geropanagioti, addressed an opening speech and thanked all who contributed to the event, the person in charge of the Dance Department Christos Giannopoulos and the conductor of the Folk Orchestra Mrs. Dimitra Apsomatou.

The event was attended by the Mayor of Patras, Kostas Peletidis, the President of the Municipal Council Panagiotis Melas, the Deputy Mayor of Health and Welfare Vivian Samouri, Demosthenes Samouris, brother of the student Giorgos Samouris who died in the Polytechnic uprising, the deputy mayor of Messatida, Paralia and Vrachneika Municipal Units Anastasia Togopoulou, the president of the Public Benefit Company of the Patras Carnival Ira Kouri, the president of Municipal and Regional Theatre of Patras Petros Vais and the president of the Labor Center of Patras Dimitris Marmoutas.
