On Wednesday, July 8, at 6:00 p.m., the public will have a unique opportunity to tour the Heraklion Archaeological Museum’s temporary exhibition, “Writing with Light—The Krasakis Collection: Ancient Greece Through the Lens of Eight Pioneering Photographers.”
Together with the artist and curator of the exhibition, Stella Koukoulaki, visitors will trace the history of archaeological photography in Greece from the late 19th to the mid-20th century through one hundred original silver prints by eight pioneering artists: Dimitrios Konstantinou, Petros Moraitis, Konstantinos Athanasiou, Frédéric Boissonnas, Nikolaos Zografou, Voula Papaioannou, Nelly’s, and Spyros Meletzis.
