The National Library of Greece (NLG) presents its new Special Exhibition titled “History and Memory in Modern Greek Prose: The Greek Past from the 19th Century to 1960.”
Through a selection of books that capture the dialectical relationship between history and fiction—as well as the questions that inevitably arise from it—readers are invited to explore Greece’s past from the 19th century through the 1960s.
The recommendations of the ΝLG Lending Collection include a variety of genres of Greek prose—with the historical novel predominating—as well as more multimodal texts, such as graphic novels.
