In the presence of many people and local authorities, the book on the history of Paleogratsano was presented in the central square of the village.

The presentation of the book “The History of Paleogratsano“, which concerns the village of Paleogratsano of the Municipality of Velvento, took place on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in the presence of citizens, local authorities, monks of the Monastery of St. Nektarios and many visitors and friends of the village. Some even came from Athens for the presentation of the book, which is the first official publication of the village. The book is based on research, recording, and census from 3,000 BC to 1912 AD and is the work of the great author and researcher of the area, Thanasis Kallianiotis.

The presentation of the book was carried out by the author Thanasis Kallianiotis, Historian, Dr. History of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Tsitoura Lila teacher, with roots from Paleogratsano, while the President of the association Mr. Yannis Mylonas was the coordinator.

Greetings were given by the Mayor of Velvento Mr. Manolis Stergiou, the Deputy Mayor Mr. Haris Govedaros, and the former Mayor of Aiani Mr. George Tzelos.

After the end of the event, the author, Mr. Thanasis Kallianiotis, personally signed the books, while the author continues his research with the wish of all to follow as soon as possible and the writing and publication of the second volume with the more recent history of the village, from 1912 onwards.
