The thirty-fourth issue of Poetics, under the inspired direction of Haris Vlavianos, is the final issue of a journal that has marked and mapped through its pages the literary movements in Greece and abroad.

In addition to the pages devoted to poetry or its translation, Poetics of Autumn-Winter 2024 focuses on surrealism and its extensions beyond the visual arts, while Roderick Beaton’s essays on Lord Byron’s life in Greece stand out.

If one reads carefully between the lines of these 326 pages, one will find, in addition to the high poetic spirit and scholarship, a clearly emotionally charged atmosphere, which is sealed by the opening note by Haris Vlavianos:
