In the old days, not everyone could go to school, nor could everyone have books at home. “And how did they learn back then?” you will surely be wondering. They learned through the knowledge and experiences of others; and one way they did this was through proverbs: short, descriptive and often funny phrases taken from everyday life.

In this book we will learn the most delightful proverbs, taught by our grandmothers and grandfathers’ grandmothers and grandfathers, and by their grandmothers and grandfathers’ grandmothers and grandfathers.
