Discussion with painter and academic Dimitris Sevastakis, based on his exhibition entitled  Τhe word and the site.

The first section of the exhibition (The Word) includes three groups of portraits: writers, Greek and foreign, readers, and potential literary heroes. The second section (The Site) is divided into landscapes of his native Samos and Ymittos, which illustrate the painter’s relationship with them, while at the same time reconstructing an inner stability.

The discussion with the painter revolves around the concept of “eclipse” that defined him, his works, which are either stable or variable notes, his confrontation with his parents, his relationship with his students, their ways and ethos, and the need to create small communities for loving nourishment.

The exhibition is accompanied by a detailed catalog, edited by Stavros Zouboulakis, President of the NLG Supervisory Board, and is available at the NLG shop in the 4th floor atrium.
