The European Society for Modern Greek Studies in collaboration with the National Library of Greece (NLG) is organizing a conference entitled: “From globalization to artificial intelligence. Greek literature in the 21st century“, which will be held at the Book Tower of the National Library of Greece at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre.

The aim of the conference is to map the trends, developments and debates in modern Greek literature in relation to international literary and theoretical pursuits as well as the new publishing and digital environment, attracting speakers from different fields (writers, critics, translators, scholars, theoreticians, journal directors, etc.).

The conference agenda includes topics such as:

  • Poetry (poetry of left melancholy, queer, feminist)
  • Fiction (crisis fiction, graphic novels, detective and historical fiction, short stories)
