ΔΛ Gallery presents on Friday 11 October 2024 the solo exhibition of b. entitled “Water Memories“.
The exhibition Water Memories describes a childhood summer memory. Through a series of works, which start from playing with water in a garden and reconstruct pieces, creating primarily the impression of a memory rather than an accurate record of it.
During the conscious recollection of our memories a virtual and quite fluid state prevails, almost like a dream. The clear and descriptive image is interchanged with elements that constitute those parts that the conscious memory has not defined. A fish, flowers, a girl, water, but also summer, the playfulness and the feeling of sea salt on the skin.
The aim of the works is to explore the power of remembering as an almost meditative and inextricably existential process.
After all, besides the material state in which man exists as a substance, he is a purely spiritual entity consisting of memories, sensations, instincts and dreams.
