The exhibition “Harmonies in Dissonance │A Collective Odyssey of Light and Form“ presented in Patras, at the cultural space “Tatiana Dimou Artists” in collaboration with the “Hellenic Diaspora Foundation“, will offer the public the opportunity to get to know the work of some of the most influential visual artists of the 20th century.

A common characteristic of Takis, Stamos, Chrysa, Stephen Antonakos, Lukas Samaras, Christofer Macos and Yannis Bouteas, apart from their Greek origin, is their innovative vision that is not limited to border lines but influences the international artistic community and art history.

Their personal experiences, the intense socio-political events, the gigantic changes in the urban and natural environment, acted as catalysts in their view of the world and the creation of their works. Even today, their visual gaze converses with immediacy in the consciousness of modern man.

Existential truths and unpublished memories hidden behind colours, lines or forms, reveal to us a unique, “unknown” avant-garde and an extraordinary heritage for contemporary Greek visual perception.

Each work in the exhibition tells its own story, unique, timeless and authentic.
