After a year and a half of absence, the New Film Club of Heraklion is once again making its presence felt in the city’s cultural events, inaugurating a new era of screenings at the historic “Vitsentzos Kornaros” cinema.

The premiere of the 16th season will take place on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 9:30 p.m., with the screening of the film that established Pedro Almodóvar in the world of cinema: Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios, 1988). This will be followed by selections from Greek and international cinema, including both contemporary and older films.
