The exhibition of works from the 6th Painting Competition in memory of Loukas Venetoulias, with the theme “WATER: THE ALPHA AND OMEGA,” is being prepared at the Teloglion Foundation and will be open to the public starting the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, July 15.

This year’s event, titled “Water: The Alpha and Omega,” focuses on an element that is fundamental to human life and the planet, inextricably linked to the challenges of the modern era and climate change. Water, as both a source of life and a force of destruction, has inspired art throughout the ages through its natural, symbolic, spiritual, and mythological dimensions.

The participants’ works foster an open and multifaceted dialogue around this specific theme. Through diverse modes of expression and personal narratives, they highlight the contradictions, transformations, and multiple meanings of water as a natural presence, a symbol, a memory, and a subject of reflection.

The first prize and honorable mentions will be awarded upon the exhibition’s conclusion in September.
