About the film

Algeria, 1997. The country is torn apart by civil war, pitting the authoritarian government against terrorist fundamentalist groups who wish to turn the country into a theocratic Islamic state.

In this stifling environment, women who refuse to comply with the endless list of prohibitions are subjected to violent attacks and persecution.

A young student, passionate about fashion, decides to rebel from her own perspective. She convinces the women attending her university to organize a fashion show, which takes on symbolic dimensions of resistance against obscurantism.
