The 6th Art Thessaloniki International Contemporary Fair was inaugurated on November 3 in the presence of many people and official guests. The exhibition presents the works of George Zongolopoulos, curated by art historian Katerina Koskina, art galleries from Greece and abroad, young artists, the multimedia exhibition of internationally renowned artists Ilya & Emilia Kabakov, as well as the Museum of Contemporary Art “Konstantinos Xenakis Gallery”. The exhibition is co-organized by TIF-Helexpo and art Thessaloniki’s artistic director, Pantelis Tsatsis.

This year’s event was opened by the president of TIF-Helexpo, Mr. Tasos Tzikas, followed by the artistic director of Art Thessaloniki Pantelis Tsatsis. Then the speech was taken by the art historian-museologist and advisor to the mayor of Athens on cultural issues, Mrs. Katerina Koskina.

Then, the deputy regional head of Public Health and Social Solidarity, Mrs. Melina Dermetzopoulou, representing the regional governor of Central Macedonia, Mr. Apostolos Tzitzikostas, expressed her satisfaction for the excellent organization of the exhibition, while the Deputy Mayor of culture of Serres, Mrs. Chrysanthi Palazi, representing the mayor of Serres, Mr. Alexandros Chrysafis, was also mentioned in the organization of the exhibition. The exhibition was then inaugurated by the mayor of Thessaloniki, Mr. Konstantinos Zervas.

Finally, the president of the George Zongolopoulos Foundation, Mr. Nikos Theodoridis, addressed a greeting.

Art Thessaloniki was hosted at kiosks 10 and 9 of Tif-Helexpo and ended on November 6 with success after a large turnout.
