The Mayor of Pallini and the Deputy Mayor of Social Solidarity and Social Welfare of the Municipality, in the context of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus and the continued occupation of 36% of its territory, are organizing a magnificent concert on October 12, 2024, at 20:30, at the open space of Anthousa (opposite Praktiker).

Entitled “1974 – 2024: Half a Century – Half a Country“, this concert aims to honour the memory of the deceased and to keep alive the historical memory of the events that marked Cyprus.

The audience will have the honour of enjoying the leading artist George Dalaras, whose music and performances are inextricably linked to the culture and history of our country. George Dallaras, with his unique voice, will add a special depth and emotion to the evening.

The concert will be conducted by the well-known composer Michalis Christodoulides, whose works will fill the atmosphere with melodies and memories, while he will be accompanied by Doros Dimosthenous, Evanthia Rapti and the 35-person choir of OTE Group, which will offer a high quality melodic accompaniment.

With this concert, the Municipality of Pallini pays tribute to the victims of 1974, as well as to the people who continue to search for their loved ones.
