National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens (EMST) in collaboration with the Athens Conservatory and Contemporary Music Research Center is organizing a two-day conference in parallel with the double exhibition tribute to Iannis Xenakis. Through lectures, screenings, concerts, dance activities, discussions and workshops, the programme presents the multiple aspects of the international pioneer’s work and highlights the broad impact he had on the different fields he touched.

The two-day event is dedicated to the memory of the composer Haris Xanthoudakis (1950-2023), with whom the EMST collaborated closely in the preparation of the two exhibitions and who will also participate in the programme.

During the weekend the Museum will operate with extended opening hours from 11.00-22.00, while admission to all exhibitions and events will be free of charge.

The exhibitions for both days will be open from 11.00 to 22.00.

Participation in all events will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

For the workshops it is necessary to register at [email protected].

Tours will be available for a limited number of participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
