The Athens & Epidaurus Festival welcomes the Performance Workshop of the Athens School of Fine Arts to Peiraios 260 Square, for an evening of new performances developed during the academic year, offering a glimpse into the workshop’s ongoing research, methodologies, and collective practices.

Set within the fleeting landscape of an ephemeral forest, the works unfold through voice, movement, sound, and sculptural presence, mapping temporary forms of intimacy between bodies, gestures, and the night itself.

With a subtle nod to the atmosphere of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, where encounters, disorientation, desire, and transformation emerge after dusk, the evening does not attempt a theatrical metaphor. Instead, it embraces the simple joy of being together in an open-air space, amidst trees, shadows, and coexisting presences.

The event proposes a temporary bridge between the Athens & Epidaurus Festival and the Athens School of Fine Arts: a meeting place where performance becomes a way of collectively, mindfully, and differently inhabiting the space.

The evening emerges from the ongoing pedagogical and artistic research being developed at the Performance Laboratory under the direction of artist and professor Georgia Sagri.

Admission is free, and attendees are free to move about the space as they wish, without needing to stay from start to finish.

There will be individual activities of varying durations as well as moments of collective action.

The total duration will not exceed 120 minutes.
