The Half Note Jazz Club presents Aggeliki Psoni in a unique musical collaboration with the distinguished Cuban pianist and composer Dayramir González.

Performing together in Athens for the first time, Aggeliki — born and raised in Athens and now based in New York — returns to her hometown with a multifaceted artistic identity. With a soulful and expressive voice, she blends elements of Greek music with jazz, soul, funk, and Latin influences, creating a unique, contemporary sound. An award-winning songwriter and active performing/recording artist, she has performed at major venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Bergen Performing Arts Center, and Fenway Park, and has collaborated with Jon Secada, Cyrille Aimée, Lina Nikolakopoulou, Dimitris Basis, and Kostis Maraveyas. She is currently working on her debut album, *Troublemaker*, while her new single “Little Secret” is already available on digital platforms.

On piano, Dayramir González—born and raised in Havana—is one of the most dynamic figures in contemporary Afro-Cuban jazz. With an international career that has taken him to top venues such as Carnegie Hall, having studied at Berklee College of Music as the first Cuban to receive a Presidential Scholarship, and boasting a significant discography of original albums, he blends Cuban musical tradition with contemporary jazz into an explosive sound brimming with virtuosity and a distinct identity.

The two performed together in 2025 at the Havana International Jazz Festival and have already presented their work at major venues in New York. The evening’s program offers a multi-stylistic musical journey that moves between jazz, Latin, blues, soul, and funk, with special references to Greek music—through original arrangements, improvisation, and a dynamic stage presence.

A unique opportunity for Athens audiences to experience firsthand an international musical gathering that brings together New York, Havana, and Athens through the language of music.
