1821 CRETE IN THE GREEK REVOLUTION

The first transatlantic presentation of the SCHS/HMF’s anniversary exhibition for the 200 years since the beginning of the Greek Revolution took place on

last weekend at the Saint Nicholas Community Center & Conference Hall in Tarpon Springs, Florida.

With the initiative of the Pancretan Union of America under the presidency of Iakovos Boutzoukas, the installation of the 1821 Exhibition CRETE IN THE GREEK REVOLUTION,

took place in the context of the Congress  National Council of the Pancretan Union of America, as a prelude to the presentations of the exhibition which will be held in the USA,

but also for a first tour by the guests of the Cretan Diaspora.

The digital design of the indoor version of the Exhibition is offered free of charge by the Society of Cretan Historical Studies / Historical

Museum of Crete to Municipalities, Institutions, Schools and Associations in Crete and in the and abroad.

In addition, the printed version of the hybrid exhibition of the Historical Museum of Crete 1821 CRETE IN THE GREEK REVOLUTION presented in an open space

in Crete (Heraklion, Chania, Rethymno and Agios Nikolaos) in the anniversary year 2021, is available at the Shop and e-shop of the Historical Museum of Crete.

The proceeds from the sales support the publishing work of the SCHS, the operation of the Museum’s and the operation of its Museums and the organisation of annual periodic exhibitions and

events, as well as educational programmes offered free of charge.
