Elisavet Chelidoni presents her new solo exhibition, Becoming With, a painterly exploration of the relationship between landscape, memory, nature, and matter.

At the core of the exhibition lies the idea of a process that does not unfold in isolation, but through a continuous interaction with the world around us.

Nature is not presented as an external landscape to be observed, but as an active space of experience and transformation. Colour, matter, and gesture compose painted surfaces where the real and the imagined, memory and presence, the visible and the intangible become interwoven.

Painting becomes a space of encounter, where matter, memory, imagination, and landscape shape one another. The gaze shifts from “what do I feel in relation to the world?” to “how do we shape one another in relation to the world?”

Becoming With ultimately refers to a becoming that is not solitary, but emerges through relation; a process of mutual transformation in which the human being does not simply stand apart from nature, but participates in an ongoing process of coexistence with it.

Perhaps, in the end, an image is not what we see, but what transforms us as we look.

We become together.
