Call for applications for Cultural Grants for contemporary

culture actions for the year 2022

The Ministry of Culture and Sports is launching a call for proposals for the submission of grant applications and/or sponsorship for Contemporary Culture actions, which will take place in 2022, as part of the support and promotion of actions of cultural institutions.

In total, the following calls for proposals for grants and/or sponsorship are announced:

  • Film and Audiovisual Actions and Film Festivals.
  •  Actions in the field of books, literature and literary works
  • Multidisciplinary festivals.
  • Classical and Contemporary Dance Groups, with the aim of producing Classical and Contemporary Dance productions, festivals, tours and events.
  • Professional theatre companies, with the aim of producing theatre productions, festivals, tours, theatre events.
  • Cultural activities and Programmes for Children and Adolescents up to 18 years of age.
  • Visual Arts, Architecture, Photography and Design activities.
  • Museums and galleries activities.
  • Music Performances, Philharmonic, Music Festivals, Music Tours and Music Events.

The Call for Proposals are for grants and/or sponsorship for cultural actions to be carried out or to be launched during the year 2022 and are addressed to non-profit legal entities under private or public law, with cultural and/or public benefit purposes, in accordance with their statutes. A prerequisite for submitting a proposal is registration in the Register of Cultural Organisations.

Organisations already registered in the Registry must have updated their identification data in order to ensure that they are correct and complete at the time of submission of the proposal.

In order to be registered, non-registered organisations must have completed the process by 20/02/2022. The deadline for registration in the Register of Cultural Entities is considered to be the date of sending the registration declaration by e-mail to [email protected] or by post, not the date of electronic submission of the Entity’s identity document.

Interested institutions should submit their proposal electronically from 01/02/2022 to 28/02/2022.

Each organisation is eligible to submit one application to all calls of this programme. Further applications will only be accepted under other programmes (such as the ‘All Greece One Culture’ programme), which are carried out through a separate procedure. After the deadline for submission of proposals, no request for replacement in the attached files of the submitted proposals in the Register of Cultural Organisations will be accepted.

The content of the proposals must correspond exclusively to the subject matter of the call for proposals based on the main theme of the call. The evaluation of the proposals and the corresponding evaluation will be carried out by Advisory Committees, specific to each call.
