After last year’s successful Masterclass, the internationally renowned soprano and scholarship holder Christina Poulitsi returns to offer a Masterclass for new and young lyric artists or students. On the piano, the excellent Dimitris Vezyroglou. The seminar is organized by the Friends of Music Society and will take place from 20 to 23 May 2024 at the Society’s premises in the Megaron.

The students who will be selected will have the opportunity to learn two 30-minute lessons of two arias of their choice, which they will then perform in front of an audience at the concerts that will follow on Tuesday 21 and Thursday 23 May at 21:00 in the “Yannis Marinos” Hall at the Megaron. The teaching will focus on the technique of singing, which is the secure basis and prerequisite of any performance.

Requirements

Those selected to participate in the masterclass will have prepared one Mozart aria and two others of their choice from the Italian, French or German repertoire.
