The Lyric Singing Competition for the award of a scholarship for the perfection of studies, at Master or Bachelor level, in a recognized School of Music abroad during the academic year 2025-2026, was announced by the “Maria Callas Scholarships” Association, an institution founded by the great artist herself and based at the Athens Concert Hall.

Maria Callas, sensitive to the needs of her young colleagues, generously offered her fees from her historic performances at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus for the establishment of scholarships for young Greek artists. Thus, the Association “Maria Callas Scholarships” is the only institution that bears the name of the great artist, having been founded by her!

The submission of the candidates’ documents will take place at the beginning of April 2025 and will be followed by an interview before the Jury composed of Alexia Voulgaridou, Loukas Karytinos, Giorgos Kouroupos, Miltos Loyadis and Aris Christofellis. The President of the Association is Mr. Kostas Pilarinos and Mr. Mr. Kyriakos Loukakos is the General Secretary.
