Following a series of successful residency programs in Greece and the U.S., the arts organization ARCAthens announces the return of the Fall 2026 Athens Residency program for international artists and curators. After a three-year hiatus, the program returns with a duration of three months, aiming to further strengthen creative mobility and international exchange.
The revival of the fall residency program in Athens is made possible thanks to two years of support from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), a significant milestone for the organization, as it actively contributes to the preservation, strengthening, and further expansion of its programs both in Greece and in the United States.
The Fall 2026 Athens Residency will take place from September 10 to November 30, 2026, in Athens. The selected international artists and curators will benefit from a specially curated program that includes visits to artists’ studios, meetings with cultural institutions, museums and curators, public presentations, as well as time to conduct independent research in Athens. Unlike other residency models that focus on the production of new works, this program emphasizes the creation of an artistic network, exchange, and active engagement, offering an outward-looking experience closely connected to the local and international artistic community.
