The invitation is addressed by the Ministry of Culture and Sports to Greek filmmakers, as long as they meet the criteria set by the rules of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The Ministry of Culture and Sports invites those interested to participate in the selection procedure for the film that will represent our country at the 94th OSCAR Awards of the American Motion Picture Academy and claim the Best International Feature Film award.

A feature film (longer than 40 minutes) is defined as international as long as it is produced outside the United States of America and the language of its dialogues is not predominantly English (i.e. more than 50%). Animated films, as well as documentaries, are included.

The invitation is addressed to Greek filmmakers, as long as they meet the criteria set by the rules of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Those interested can send an e-mail to the email address [email protected] of the Department of Cinema and A/V Media of the Directorate of Performing Arts and Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, from Friday 10 September until Friday, October 8, 2021. If an application is accepted, the applicant will then be informed about the evaluation procedure.
