The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, with the aim of promoting Greek culture and Greek Letters on a national and international level, will announce after mid-November the start of applications for the 5th Scholarship Programme. The scholarships are awarded within the framework of the Marilena Laskaridis Centre for Modern Greek Studies at the University of Amsterdam.

For the academic year 2024-2025, one (1) fellowship for a period of 5 months for young researchers and one (1) fellowship for a period of 5 months for experienced researchers. The fellows, selected exclusively by the University of Amsterdam on the basis of academic criteria, will be required to stay in the city for the designated period in order to conduct their research.

The scholarships are awarded annually with the main aim of supporting research in the field of Modern Greek Studies at the University of Amsterdam and internationally and are awarded in the fields of humanities and/or social sciences, especially in the fields of Modern Greek culture and/or history.

The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation is fully funding the two scholarships. Each scholarship corresponds to a total amount of 8.250€ to cover accommodation and living expenses for the period of five months.
