A book that explores and attempts to shine a light on the history of abandoned and forgotten castles, towers and castle-cities of Pelion. Few archaeologists have undertaken such a task, mainly due to the lack of sufficient sources and testimonies that has left us only fragmentary information from travelers and scholars of the time, as well as more archaeologists and historians, who have attempted in a few lines of text to trace the historical identity of some of these monuments of Pelion’s history, without the data that would have been provided by systematic research excavation.
