In this -until recently unknown- manuscript of Korais, written in Latin in 1790, Korais wishes to connect medicine with Greek antiquity, politics, ethics and passions. Thus, he emerges as a thinker of biopolitics, and this text further illuminates his intellectual path, as well the history of medicine, the modern Greek Enlightenment, and the history of ideas in general.
