This volume, the third one in the series, edited by Nikos Theotokas and Dionysis Tzakis, is the history of the regular army by Christos S. Byzantios. The author, who believed that only an “organized” army would be able to serve the national cause, signed his work as an officer of the infantry line, and dedicates it to the “the everlasting memory” of Dimitrios Ypsilantis, “undying champion and brave general, founder of the regular army of Greece”.
