This ‘chronicle in pictures and documents’ consists of, photographs and testimonies and documents such as rare photographs of Fighters from Aegina who played an important role for the Greek Revolution, drawings, and documents from the founding of the Greek State; all of which contribute to highlighting Aegina’s role as the place where the first government of the Modern Greek State was established, under the governor Ioannis Kapodistrias, and at the same time demonstrate the long history of Aegina as a place where ancient Greek civilization flourished.
