The 8th Loutraki International Film Festival “BRIDGES” continues to draw unwavering interest, offering the public unique cinematic and artistic experiences while building bridges of communication between filmmakers and audiences.
On a particularly moving evening, the Festival honored the great actress Alexandra Ladikou for her long and valuable contribution to theater and film.
At the same time, audiences in Loutraki and the surrounding area had the opportunity to attend the world premiere of the dramatized play “A Season in Hell” by Ilias Malandris, based on the letters of Arthur Rimbaud and translated by Stratis Paschalis.
The event was attended by prominent figures from the cultural world, who honored it with their presence, including Mary Razis, Sotiris Tsogas, Georgia Anesti, Aris Fatouros, Dimitris Ioannidis, Zeta Karaspiliou, Katerina Manteli, Adamantia Mantelini, Pigi Persiadou, as well as many other artists and friends of the Festival.
At the same time, the Festival is rapidly expanding its visual arts program. The historic Beau Rivage Hotel is hosting Ariana Bini’s exhibition “My Loutraki,” and starting tomorrow, the visual arts program will be enriched with two more unique exhibitions.
Internationally renowned visual artist Susanne Haviar-Elsermans presents watercolor works, while Ariadne EAR exhibits the series “To Our Health!”, a striking collection of digital works displayed in illuminated light boxes. At first glance, her works give the impression of edited photographs; however, they are 100% paintings, created using her finger on a cell phone screen. Their presentation on illuminated surfaces aims to convey to the viewer the experience of the creative process itself, through the light of the screen where they were born.
The Festival’s screenings culminate on Saturday, June 20, with specialized seminars, industry meetings, and a networking event for filmmakers, producers, and film enthusiasts.
The “Nereus” Film Awards of the Loutraki BRIDGES Festival will be held this year at the Petrosophy International Cultural Center in Agioi Theodoroi, Corinth, on Sunday, June 21, at 6:30 p.m., further expanding the event’s cultural impact.
All events of the 8th Loutraki International Film Festival “BRIDGES” are free to the public.
