The International Festival of Patras at 9.30 pm on Friday 6 September hosts Moliere’s comedy “The Imaginary Invalid”, directed and adapted by Aimilios Chilakis and Manolis Dounias, at the Municipal Summer Theatre.
The play is the swan song of the leading comedian and representative of French classicism as it was written while he was already ill and suffering from the doctors of the time.
Through the performance, the performers continue their study on the leading French dramatist, who always in the light of comedy illuminated the darkness of the human soul, understood the human psyche and created characters with universal scope. His works remain relevant to the present day.
THE CAST: Aimilios Chilakis, Athina Maximou, Myrto Alikaki, Thodoris Romanidis, Nikos Gelia, Panagiotis Gavrelas, Vicky Diamantopoulou, Yorgos Zygouris, Dimitris Filippidis.
