The Department of Management Science and Technology at the University of Western Macedonia is organizing, in accordance with the provisions of Law 4957/2022 (A’ 141), the new certified MSc Degree Program (M.D.P.), certified by the National Authority for Higher Education (NAHE) under certification decision QA_2051/04-09-2025, entitled:

“E-Business and Digital Marketing”

The aim of the master’s program is to equip students with the necessary knowledge, abilities, and skills to leverage technology and innovation in business, focusing on strategic development, the use of digital tools, and the optimization of the user experience. One of the program’s main priorities is understanding the modern business ecosystem and the opportunities offered by e-business and digital marketing. Students develop skills such as managing digital platforms, analyzing data for strategic decision-making, and developing innovative solutions that meet market demands. In addition, the program emphasizes the development of skills for creating and managing comprehensive digital advertising campaigns. It aims to train professionals who will be able to implement modern digital marketing strategies, leverage social media, and engage consumers through personalized approaches. Thus, graduates can effectively respond to the developments and demands of the digital age.

Overall, the objective of the MSc program is to provide students with a comprehensive theoretical and practical foundation, enabling them to become competitive in the job market and support the growth and digital transformation of businesses. Through specialized training, graduates of the master’s program acquire all the skills necessary to excel in professional fields related to technology, marketing, and strategic management.

Graduates of the program can play a pivotal role in the growth and internationalization of virtually any company or organization, helping to bridge the gap between technology and business by applying their knowledge of new business models, emerging technologies, and the management and exploitation of innovation. In conclusion, the ultimate goal of the M.Sc. program is to ensure the quality and continuous improvement of every aspect of the program, including the educational and research processes.

DEGREE TITLE – COURSES – OTHER EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

The MSC Program awards a MSc Degree in “E-Business and Digital Marketing.” The Degree is awarded upon completion of ninety (90) ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits, in accordance with the current European system for the transfer and accumulation of credit units.

The standard duration is set at three (3) academic semesters, which includes the time required for the preparation and evaluation of the master’s thesis. The maximum permitted duration of studies is set at six (6) academic semesters. Course attendance and examinations take place during the first and second semesters. During the third semester, the student is required to write a thesis. All lectures are conducted remotely (online).

At the same time, the 24-hour course “Research Methodology – Writing a Master’s Thesis” will be offered in the third semester. The aim of the course is for students to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to approach the preparation of their master’s thesis methodologically correctly, both in its theoretical and practical aspects. Specifically, all stages of the research methodology will be studied: 1. Clarification of the purpose and research questions, 2. Research design—design of data collection and sampling, 3. Data collection methods and data preparation, 4. Data analysis and interpretation, and finally, 5. Documentation of the research results and recommendations.

In addition to the courses listed above, additional seminars and tutorials will be scheduled and offered to students on an optional basis.
