
The Department of Interior Architecture of the University of West Attica announces twenty-five (25) vacancies for the Master’s Degree Programme “Sustainable Design of Architectural Space”, starting in the fall semester of the 2025-2026 academic year.
General Information:
- Graduates of higher education institutions in Greece or similar recognized institutions abroad whose qualifications are recognized by the DOATAP are admitted to the MSc.
- The admission of postgraduate students and the start of the courses will take place in the fall semester of the academic year 2024-2025. The MSc will be conducted in Greek and will lead to the award of a Postgraduate Diploma of Specialization (M.Sc.) of three (3) academic semesters.
- Each student is required to attend all the courses and to complete the postgraduate thesis, which in total correspond to ninety (90) credit hours (ECTS). The fulfilment of the above obligations must be carried out within the prescribed period of eighteen (18) months. Requests accompanied by sufficient justification by the postgraduate students for temporary interruption may be considered as special cases by the Coordinating Committee of the MSc.
- Courses are conducted remotely through recognized digital tools, while two two two-day weekends are held each semester with physical presence at the premises of the University of West Attica. One weekend consists of courses and the second of educational visits or workshops depending on the needs of the academic year/cycle of study.
- The number of admissions per year is twenty-five (25) postgraduate students. Selection is based on academic criteria including: the degree, the level of English language proficiency, possible previous writing and/or research activity, the candidate’s relevant professional experience in the field of the MSc, and a personal oral interview.
- In case of a tie, the number of postgraduate students admitted to the programme is increased, in order to admit the last tied candidate. In addition to the number of admission, members of the categories of EEP, EDIPand ETEP students are admitted as supernumerary scholarship holders in accordance with par. 8 of Article 34 of Law 4485/17.
- Following the decision of the Board of Directors, students who have passed the I.K.Y. examinations in the relevant I.K.Y. domestic postgraduate studies competition in a subject related to the subject of the MSc, or scholarship holders from non-profit institutions, as well as one (1) foreign scholarship holder from the Greek State, may participate in the MSc.

Candidates should include a Letter of Intent (up to 2 pages), in which they should explain their reasons for wishing to attend the specific MSc and refer to their general and specific interests and their contact with the subject matter of the programme so far.
