The celebration of the 58th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Patras will take place on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 19.00 at the ceremony hall “Odysseas Elytis”. This anniversary is of great importance for the University of Patras, while at the same time it combines the twofold celebration: the foundation of the foundation and the patron saint of Patras, Apostle Andrew. On the 58th anniversary of its foundation, the University of Patras celebrates 58 consecutive years of contribution to Science, Education, Research and culture.  With the greeting of the rector of the University of Patras, Professor Christos Bourras, the start of the program of this year’s event will take place. The keynote speech on “democracy and development in times of Model reversal” will be held by the emeritus professor of economics of Ekpa, Mr. Anastasios K. Giannitsis.  In the context of the celebration, the title of Honorary Doctor of the Department of Management Science and Technology of the University of Patras will be awarded to the guest speaker, etc. Giannitsi.
