The artist Adam Stergios was born in Florina, in 1997. In 2015 he started his studies at the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of the University of Western Macedonia, with professors Haris Kontosfiri, Thomas Zographos and Sophia Papadopoulou, where he graduated with an ”Excellent” Master Integrated Degree in June 2020. In October 2020 he started his postgraduate studies at the Master of Arts in Audiovisual Arts in the Digital Age at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University.

About his work
Stergios’ visual work seeks simple rhythmic symmetrical structures in space, composing forms from basic geometric solids such as the cube and the sphere. The aim of his sculpture is to locate and reveal the interior. The simultaneous presence – absence of the material element through transparency. His research and experiments are mainly focused on the concepts of space and matter, the conversion of matter into energy and the flow of energy in space. Most importantly, their potential morphing in visual space. Movement acquires in his work the character of function. He is also interested in the use of new technological means and contemporary visual practices in design, as well as the interdisciplinary approach of art in combination with science and technology. Stergios is involved in 3D digital design, 3D animation, video art and the creation of AR and VR applications, creating innovative abstract works under a contemporary visual perspective.
