The Thessaloniki State Conservatory presents an enchanting evening of chamber music featuring internationally acclaimed soloists Anaïs Gaudemard (harp) and Simos Papanas (violin), in a unique recital that bridges masterpieces from different musical eras.
This exciting program begins with the lyricism of the Baroque and Classical periods, featuring Biber’s famous Passacaglia for solo violin, Bach’s Sonata in G minor (BWV 1020), and Mozart’s 6 Variations (K. 360) for violin and harp.
The musical journey culminates in Romanticism and the rich timbres of the French school, through the virtuosic Fantasies by Spohr and Saint-Saëns, M. Tournier’s ethereal “Féerie: Prélude et danse” by M. Tournier, and the world-famous, atmospheric “Méditation” from Thaïs by Massenet.
