The Arta Photography Group “FotoArt” presents its members’ annual group photography exhibition at the “Yannis Moralis” Municipal Art Gallery of Arta, titled: “Emerging Narratives,” as well as the parallel exhibition “Rare” by Ypatia Kornarou. The event has become a staple of the region’s cultural calendar. It is held as part of the association’s expanded cultural activities, with the aim of promoting the art of photography from both academic and aesthetic perspectives, highlighting the contemporary artistic creativity of its members, and substantially strengthening the city’s cultural fabric. The exhibition is co-organized by the Municipality of Arta and the ADAE-OTA Development Company.
The opening will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
The exhibition is curated by photographer and group instructor Ypatia Kornarοu. Her curatorial approach focuses on constructing a visual narrative that highlights the artistic identity and creative explorations of each artist.

Curator’s note:
In the poetics of a fragile introspection, the photographic image transcends the visual, while at the same time, entirely intuitively, it transforms into a process that subverts conventional reality, creating an inner dialogue with the silent folds of the self. The photography exhibition “Emerging Narratives,” through a presentation of diverse ideas, explores personal narratives that revive the instability of temporal fluctuation. The works sometimes pulsate in their stillness and at other times hover in anticipation of an endless encounter, revealing how others become us. And then, “we” comes ever closer to what it means: “an unexpected emergence of emotional landscapes.”
Alongside the presentation of works by members of “FotoArt,” the group is incorporating part of Ypatia Kornarou’s photographic series “Rare” into the exhibition. This is a multifaceted project that emerged from the artist’s institutional collaboration with the “95” Association—the Greek Alliance for Rare Diseases. Through the human-centered and empathetic lens of the photographer, this series serves as a platform for raising social awareness about the lived experience of rare diseases.
