The call for applications (Academic Year 2026–27) for the Inter-institutional Master’s Program titled “OCEANOGRAPHY AND MANAGEMENT OF THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT” is hereby announced.
The Departments of Biology, Geology and Geoenvironment, Physics, and Chemistry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Hellenic Center for Marine Research operate the Inter-institutional Graduate Program entitled “Oceanography and Management of the Marine Environment.” The Interinstitutional Master’s Program (IMP) focuses on Oceanography, which encompasses all scientific disciplines involved in the research and management of the broader marine environment.
The purpose of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program is to generate and disseminate knowledge, develop expertise, and promote research activity in the scientific field of Oceanography, in conjunction with the scientific management of the marine environment based on the principles of sustainability. Furthermore, the MSc program aims to meet the demands of the modern era by training scientific personnel capable of addressing the complexity of contemporary challenges at every level of administration and in every sector of activity related to the science of Oceanography.
The Master’s Program awards a Master’s Degree in “Oceanography and Management of the Marine Environment”
