The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation is announcing a nationwide poetry contest for teenagers aged 15 to 18, with the theme “The Mediterranean and Travel,” as part of the initiative “The Sea in Literature.”
The competition invites young people from all over Greece to draw inspiration from the sea and poetically capture their relationship with the Mediterranean, travel, memory, place, and culture. The goal of the initiative is to provide a platform for young people’s creative expression, highlighting both island and mainland regions of the Mediterranean through the power of poetry.
At the same time, the participants’ poetic works will help enrich the digital application poesea.gr, by fostering dialogue between literature, the sea, and contemporary artistic creation.
Interested parties are invited to submit one (1) original poem, in accordance with the terms of the call for entries. Before submitting an application, it is essential to review the detailed call for entries, which is available at laskaridisfoundation.org/event/diagonismos-poihsis/.
