Following the success of the first Athens Archaeology Festival held last year, the British School at Athens is pleased to announce that the event will return on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
If you’re interested in making archaeology exciting and accessible to the public, you can apply to participate in this year’s festival.
Applications are now open for individuals, organizations, and creators who wish to contribute to this year’s program of public activities. The British School of Athens is seeking engaging, interactive workshops and experiences that will bring archaeology to a wider audience in an accessible, experiential, and inspiring way.
The festival aims to promote collaboration among researchers, educators, cultural organizations, and the public, with a particular focus on approaches to cultural heritage that foster inclusion and participation. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring history to life, connect with a wide audience, and gain valuable experience in public engagement.
Deadline: 12 May 2026
