As it does every year, the Municipal Unit of Agia is organizing events to celebrate the National Anniversary of March 25, 1821, on Tuesday, March 24, and Wednesday, March 25, 2026. The events are described in detail in the following program:

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

CELEBRATION OF THE NATIONAL HOLIDAY OF MARCH 25 IN AGIA

1. Tuesday, March 24, 2026

General flagging of public, municipal, and private establishments, public entities, banks, and homes from 8:00 a.m. on March 24 until sunset on March 25, 2026.

Holding of the customary school celebrations (speeches, poems, etc.),

11:30 a.m. wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial, by school students in the presence of local authorities.

2. Wednesday, March 25, 2026

a) 10:15 a.m. Gathering of dignitaries in the courtyard of the Church of Saints Anthony.

b) 10:30 a.m. Official Te Deum at the Metropolitan Church of Agioi Antonios and delivery of the day’s commemorative address.

c) 11:00 a.m. Memorial prayer at the Heroes’ Monument – Laying of wreaths by civil and military authorities, organizations, and institutions – one minute of silence – National Anthem.

d) 11:15 a.m. Parade on the 25th of March pedestrian walkway by students from kindergartens, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, vocational high schools, the 1st Agia Scout Troop, and the dance groups of the Agia Cultural Association “Miltiadis Dallas” and the Megalovryso Cultural Association.

e) 11:45 a.m. Presentation of traditional dances in the Central Square of Agia by students from the Agia Junior High School and the dance groups of the Agia Educational and Cultural Association “M. Dallas” and the Cultural Association of Megalovryso.
