
Just one year before the centennial anniversary, the lecture describes the characteristics, methodological rigor, and unique political significance of the Swedish Mission in Cyprus. Between 1927 and 1931, four young Swedes excavated numerous archaeological sites on the island, applying scientific methods and engaging in an interaction with the local population that was almost unprecedented for the time.
