The second artistic intervention titled “MANIFESTO146”, a collaboration between the KUNSTRUKT collective and visual artist Dimitris Chalatsis, seeks—by way of a Manifesto and with reference to workplace accidents—to reintroduce the concepts of Class, Capital, Working Class, and Capitalist Exploitation.
According to the artists’ manifest…
“We consider these concepts to be essential tools that have been largely abandoned and slandered, replaced by other problematic notions that do not help us understand or confront the current reality.
We also regard these concepts as tools that deserve both defense and active use as theoretical weapons in a period of intense social and political challenges, marked by the shocking genocide of the Palestinian people perpetrated by the state of Israel.
The geopolitical situation, imperialist wars, and the sharp capitalist contradictions reflecting Capital’s greed for surplus value, are shaping the new labor landscape — exemplified by the new labor bill allowing 13-hour workdays — through the complete fluidization, intensification, and precarity of work.”
