Position: Special Scientists
Number of accepted scientists: Five (5)
CATEGORY: With a part-time contract for the Spring Semester 2025-2026 (January 2026 – May 2026) and with the possibility of renewal for another 2 semesters.
VENUE: University of Cyprus, Sports Center, Nicosia
The Sports Center is accepting applications to fill five (5) positions for Special Scientists to teach the following elective sports courses, which may be offered based on the needs of the University of Cyprus:
- Tennis
- Volleyball
- Football
- Squash
- Judo
These courses are open to all students at the University of Cyprus. The courses will be offered according to the needs of the University of Cyprus and the number of interested students. Each selected Special Teaching Scientist may be employed for one to three semesters (not necessarily consecutively or within the 2025-2026 academic year) with separate contracts, depending on their performance and the courses offered. Filling the positions is subject to the availability of funding. Please note that applicants are not required to be Cypriot citizens. However, they must be permanently resident in Cyprus during their period of employment and are kindly requested to ensure that this will be possible before submitting their application. Submission of the application implies acceptance of the above provision.
