Renowned artist and director Efi Spyrou is preparing to take her work to Agrigento, Sicily, from October 10, 2025.
According to her, the cycle of works that will comprise this solo exhibition is called Luminous Strays: Traversing Light, Absence, and Multiplicity, and their creation began during her stay in Agrigento earlier this year.
As he characteristically points out: “The experience of immersing myself in the place and its historical center gave life to a new series of works. It was not just a journey of discovery, but a spiritual and sensory journey, which now culminates with my installation at the Ex Convento Chiaramontano dei Francescani Minori in Agrigento, Sicily.”
Art historian, Curator Danae Parlamas Pertejo writes: “Luminous Strays suggests that the human condition is a becoming, a continuous unfolding of self in relation to others and the world, never a loss of self, but an opening into multiplicity…”
