From Paris to Athens, Danai Epithymiadis‘ play “All the Time in the World” meets Greek audiences for the first time. The play, which will be presented from October 27, 2025, every Monday and Tuesday at the Frynichos stage of the Greek Art Theatre Karolos Koun, is a deeply personal story of memory, mourning, and reconciliation.

The play premiered in January 2024 at the La Colline National Theater, under the artistic direction of Wajdi Mouawad, where it received a warm welcome with sold-out performances.

Hugues Le Tanneur wrote in Transfuge: “Drawing on her personal history, Danai Epithymiadi has created a performance of great emotional and poetic power. A great success.”

In Journal La Terrasse, Anaïs Heluin writes: “The Greek artist is devoted to a subtle search for identity. By examining the mechanisms on which the construction of the individual is based, theater takes on a central, joyful, and comforting role.”

This is yet another international collaboration between Danai Epithymiadi and Mouawad, as in the summer of 2025 she participated in the much-discussed work by the French-Lebanese writer and director “The Oath of Europe” and shared the stage at Epidaurus with Juliette Binoche and other international actors as part of the Athens and Epidaurus Festival.

In the plot of the play, Christina wakes up in a hospital room without remembering how she got there. Visits from a police officer, a medium, and a world-famous diver will help her confront memories she has repressed. The play follows her journey from denial to acceptance, with free diving serving as a metaphor for the depths of memory and the unconscious.

The stage action combines realism and fantasy: video mapping transforms the hospital setting into an aquatic abyss, where reality and dreams intertwine.

On the Frynichou stage, Danai Epithymiadi will play Christina, while Yannis Karaoulis will play all the other roles alongside her.

The dramaturgy is by Vasilis Doganis, the sets and costumes by Eva Goulakou, the lighting by Eliza Alexandropoulou, while the music and sound design are by Dimitris Tasainas. The video art is by Olga Sfetsa.

Before its premiere in Paris, the play had been recognized at the Mythos international theater competition (2022), while in the same year its film adaptation won the Iris Award for best student short film.
