Each destination, each kilometre for each day, becomes a “travel guide” for visitors who have the intention to discover or remember the beauties of the Municipality of Agia.
Every day, a new destination or an activity filling the summer of the visitors of the region with unique experiences and suggestions for relaxation, tastes and recreation.
Step#22 Calypso Gorge – Karitsa
Calypso lived in a large cave and it was she who welcomed the shipwrecked Odysseus to her island.
And yet here above Kokkino Nero and just outside Karditsa the gorge is named after her!
It probably still hides the traveller, in this unseen beauty in the unruly forest of beech, oak and chestnut trees .
Eight waterfalls from 15m to 100..growing double on giant rocks, ending in lush blue lakes and a continuous goddess in the Aegean Sea create an amazing setting for sensations and escape.

Step#23 KARITSA – ARIOPRINO
Arioprino is 4 km from the village of Karitsa, has dense vegetation and is surrounded by chestnut trees, beech trees and oaks. Downhill descents are held there on landscaped trails in the green forest with the participation of athletes from various parts of Greece.

Step#24 Tsiligiorgos Beach
An unconventional beach, small with a sandy beach and plenty of plane trees hugging the blue sea for lonely and alternative swimmers.

Step#25 Melivoia
The Local Community of Melivoya includes the settlements of Melivoia, Velika, Koutsoupia, Paliouria and Kokkino Nero Melivoia.
Melivoia is built on the outskirts of Ossas on a natural balcony with an altitude of 420m. overlooking the Aegean Sea. The oldest name of the village was (A)thanati. It is the head village of the municipality of Agia. According to all indications, it was built in this place around Atatolian 350 after the merger of settlements settled in the Napa of Ossas, after the abandonment of the beaches and the “Castle Velika” due to crusaders, pirates and various raiders.

Step#26 Stomio
Stomio, for several decades, has been an important tourist resort of the beaches of the prefecture of Larissa. Favoured by the Gods, it is a charismatic place, with a magnificent sea, golden beaches and easy access to the Kissavos river. From the position in which it is located, it received its name. As early as the Roman Plinius (10s AD) century it was written as Ostium Penni (mouth of the Pinios). But even during the Turkish occupation it kept its name dubbed into Turkish: Tzai – agiz (estuary). Transliterated it then became jagezi – tsagezi, and in our Dopiolalia Tsiazi.

Step#27 Kalivi Beach
Another way out away from conventionalities. A dirt road will lead us to a stone hut. A rock protector on one side of the beach with coarse pebbles and several times a small strip of sand. It is used by fishermen and is ideal for snorkeling.

Step#21 Pigadi Beach
Just 80 meters of coastline. A magical cove away from sight. Clear waters and clear with small pebbles. Plane trees, arias, olive trees and wisteria trees literally touch the beach. The waters in the creek are usually calm, as it is only directly affected by the easterly winds.
