The Postgraduate Program in Cosmetic Chemistry of the Department of Chemistry of the Democritus University of Thrace offers an innovative educational experience for students who wish to pursue a career in the rapidly growing field of Cosmetic Chemistry, with emphasis on research, innovation and links with academia and industry.

The MSc awards a Diploma of Postgraduate Studies (MSc) in “Cosmetic Chemistry” – (MSc Cosmetic Chemistry). The MSc is full-time and lasts for three (3) semesters. The implementation of the Programme is designed using hybrid training systems (hybrid), without the requirement of physical presence when required.

The MSc incorporates the latest scientific developments in the design, development, evaluation, certification and promotion of cosmetic products, offering innovative courses such as:

• Principles of Cosmetic Chemistry

• Natural Products and Fragrances
• Nanomaterials in cosmetics

• Applied Biochemistry and Toxicology in Cosmetics
• Advanced Entrepreneurship and Digital Marketing (Regulatory Framework, Industrial Property and Cosmetics Marketing)

Graduates of the Faculties of Science, Health Sciences, Geotechnical Sciences, Engineering and related faculties of other faculties of the national territory or recognized similar institutions abroad, as well as graduates of Technical Universities of related subject matter are admitted to the MSc “Cosmetic Chemistry”, after selection based on their curriculum vitae and after interviewing the candidates.
