The Thessaloniki International Book Fair has been growing with the city for 21 years and has an inextricable connection with it. And because the exhibition is its people, the city and its inhabitants, its audience and its visitors, ELIVIP has designed this year a series of participatory actions and initiatives, mainly online, which aim to highlight this relationship creatively and imaginatively, opening a direct dialogue with the people and the city:

My book, your book!
Imagine someone reading your favorite book for the first time! The TIBF welcomes visitors with their books and encourages them to donate them and thus participate in the creation of an Open Library, accessible and available to the public of the city. Bring the book you want to share with the city to the entrance of the TIBF stand 15 and become a proud book donor! Because books are a cultural asset that should be shared!

The music is inspired by the book and the book by the music. As you plan your visit, on your way to Helexpo, or as you browse the stands, listen to the music we’ve chosen for you! Watch and listen to the song list on Spotify – with Italian choices! 

The 21st TIBF takes place from Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 May, admission is free and the opening hours for the public are Thursday 15.00-21.00, Friday and Saturday 10.00-22.00 and Sunday 10.00-21.00.
